Blog going private

Standard

Assalamu alaikum,

I feel the need for the blog to become private again. Allahu Alam how long this will last for – perhaps it will be for good this time. Allah knows best. JazakhaAllahu khairan to all the lovely readers once again who have journeyed with me. May Allah truly bless you all. Ameen. And may He, The Lord of the Worlds make your home ed path a truly blessed one. Ameen.

  1. Assalamu Alaikum,

I wish you make it public again IA.
I recently came across this but believe me on the other corner of the world, I wait till your day begins and wait for the email update from your blog.

May Allah guide and help you in your efforts .

Would love to read your posts again .

    JazakAllah

    Taslim

  2. Asalamualikum sister, a quiet reader from the lands of Saudi Arabia. I only received this blog post today, I dont know why. I generally get the blog post in my inbox at Saudi fajr time so I lay in bed and read your wonderful post and benifit from it. Now if this goes private then I guess we are all going to miss out on alot of good advice. I feel your blog is a sadaqa jariya for you and your family as your intention is for all the sisters to benifit so please keep it open.

    Wasalaam
Jazakallah hu khairan for all the past post

  3. Assalamu alaikum
I read your webpage regularly but it feels really odd when sometimes it is made private and sometimes not.
No one has a right to your blog but I think you would be surprised at how people benefit from it. But being consistent I think is the key. Think whatever you decide you should make a decision and stick to it – will save disappointment with your readers and confusion and Im sure you will have some peace knowing you are being consistent and not in turmoil about whether to or not all the time.

    • So sorry you feel disappointed but I sometimes do feel it should be private and other times I feel it needs to be open. I guess I just need to do what’s right for me and my family at the time. Apologies if it seems consistent – If anyone isn’t happy with that then not much I can do.

  4. Asalaamu Alaikum Umm Raiyaan

I think in life we are constantly faced with struggles, and if one disappears another appears!!! Nothing is clear cut and everything is in a constant change of flux; people change, environments change, children change or grow/mature etc. So You need to do what is right for you and your family, if you need to take a break then do so and come back refreshed and with a renewed desire to keep blogging InshAllah!!

Islam is the ‘Middle Way’ and I honestly believe that from reading your blogs this is what you are trying to achieve. You are not afraid to try new things or ways and are receptive to new ideas, but if it’s not for you, you are happy to do what is best for you and your family regardless what others think.

May Allah guide you to the best decision Ameen

  5. Assalam o Alikum dear ukhti,

Just read about you making the blog private. instantly a voice within me said , No! No! No! Noooooooo….but then another voice reminded me that this is your blog and you are putting in all the efforts to keep it going. we are just silent readers but we do benefit from it.
Recentlly we made our own books for our weekend Islamic school, following so many ideas from your blog and your ideas gave us much more ideas of our own. its as if you started the fire and we took our share from it to light up more places making a bigger fire (not the best example but this is all I could think of at the moment. i don’t know if i’m making any sense here though.)
Take your time dear ukhti, do your istikhara, in sha ALlah if this is what Allah wills for you to do, so be it.
But in sha Allah we will wait for you to come back someday, feeling all refershed and up for it again, whenever you think the right time to openly blog again.
May Allah subhan wa tallah make all your affairs easy for you and may you find success in doing whatever you do for His pleasure and may your children become the torch berears of this ummah. May He bless you with all that is good in this life and the hereafter. ameen
Love you for the sake of Allah.
    wa Salam

    • For some reason the notification for this email seems to have gone out late. I have since reopened it but who knows for how long. Its nice to know that some of my ideas are being used. I hope it is a source of reward for me inshaALlah. Ameen to your lovely duas. xx

  6. Assalaem Alaykum,
You have no idea how much beneficial your blog is. I have been reading your blog since a long time and also especially love that post about your natural birth experience. I hope you will keep it public in the future for others to benefit InshAllah.

  7. Salam sis,

I think a lot of people out there benefit from your posts so this is in a way, Sadaqah. Masha allah 🙂

I do hope and pray you will keep your posts public so we can continue to follow your examples, take advice and learn from you, insha allah.

May Allah guide you into doing what is best. Ameen.

  8. Sis I’m glad your blog is open again I have benefited from it and its giving me ideas about homeschooling my kids inshallah, I’m still not sure if I will or won’t my oldest is 2.5!!

But if you feel you need to make it private that is your decision and I pray Allah helps you make a decision that makes you at ease.
