Forest school resumed today after a long break after week 1.
It was quite cold but R and Z seemed to enjoy it masha’Allah.
The children started off with a natural treasure hunt.
I like how R and Z worked together a lot today.
They then made bookmarks from what they found.
Next, in light of the longer darker days since the clocks went back, the children were shown how to make lanterns from willow tree branches.
After this they began to stick tissue paper onto their lantern frame.
The day finished off with some warm fresh elderberry drink made from natural berries sitting around a fire.
